When is Procrastination Positive?

This month, as we look at ways to say “no” to say “yes,” consider positive procrastination. What? When is procrastination positive? Consider these examples:
  • You simply must re-organize your files but you put it off because you know you are on deadline for completing a report for your boss.

  • You are really angry with your sister and feel like calling her and giving her a piece of your mind, but you decide it can wait until tomorrow.

  • You have had a long day, you get home late, and all you want to do is curl up with a good book and some milk and cookies. You grab an apple instead and tell yourself you will eat the cookies later if you still want them.
This week, give some thought to and make a list of the ways you might procrastinate, positively!
