The Case of the Humorless Librarian - Part II

In continuing with the humorless librarian from last week, here are some more possibilities. While my first reaction is to feel rebuffed or hurt, I expanded my list of scenarios to include these possibilities:

• He has just been fired from his library job
  
  
• He forgot to pay his rent
  
  
• Something has happened to one of his friends
  
  
• He twisted his ankle and it’s difficult for him to walk
  
  
• He feels a migraine headache coming on
  
  
• His girlfriend left him last night
  
  
• He has just heard someone in his family is ill

This week, continue to pay attention to disappointing interactions. As you come up with a list of possibilities of why it happened, notice how you feel about the original event.
