- Spend some time alone, especially if you are not used to doing so. Bundle up and walk in the woods or near a body of water or somewhere else in nature
- Spend some time journaling, meditating, or just sitting quietly for a few minutes each day
- If you have not been there in awhile, consider attending your church, synagogue, mosque, or temple
- Read or study something about your own spiritual tradition or a tradition you know nothing about and have always had an interest in
