we certainly do have a great deal
of freedom in this regard. I tried
to learn Chinese and to play the
banjo. I was excited at the prospect of being able to master
these two pursuits. Unfortunately
I discovered that my ability did
not exceed my aspirations. My banjo instructor told me i had no
business being anywhere around any
musical instrument much less the banjo and summarily dismissed me.
The Chinese went just about as well. This experience left me feeling disapointed and discouraged. But i realized i needed to pursue things more suited to my aptitudes.
