Love Yourself

Psychology researcher Barbara Frederickson calls love the “supreme” emotion and claims it is the key to improving both physical and mental health, as well as living a long and fulfilling life. This month we look at various ways to enhance love in your life.

Let’s start with self-love. This week I challenge you to write a serious paragraph or two about your best qualities. Think of it as a short story that reveals you at your best. For example:
  • The time I relieved tension in the room by making a ridiculous joke

  • The moment when I realized I really did know how to do something I thought I would never be able to do

  • The period of my life when I decided to pursue one of my major life goals
This week, spend some time thinking about ways in which you love yourself and challenge yourself to write about it in the way I described. Share what you learn on our blog.
