A New Twist on Summer Fun

For the past two weeks we looked at memories from past summers, trying to re-connect with the feelings of summer, like freedom, joy, spaciousness, and fun. This week, I suggest you make a list of the activities you dislike doing. For example:
  • Unloading the dishwasher
  • Filing papers
  • Grocery shopping
  • Cleaning out the trunk of your car.
Now, here’s the twist: Can you bring the feeling of summer fun to tasks you dislike doing? For example:
  • Unload the dishwasher and time yourself. Try to unload the dishes as fast as you can (without breaking anything)!
  • Put on some great dance music and dance while filing papers
  • Try smiling at everyone you see at the grocery store as you go up and down the aisles
  • Focus on cleaning out the trunk of your car. For every item you organize, put away, dump out, give yourself five minutes of time to watch a video when the job is done
This week, try making uninteresting tasks fun by adding a new twist. Share what happened below.
Take good care,
