Falling into Your Goals

Personally, I have always liked the fall season, not just as a transition between summer and winter, but also as a time to review the year so far, and determine what goals I really want to focus on between now and the end of the year.

This week, take a few minutes to look back over the goals you had for this year. As you go through each goal, determine if you still want to pursue this goal or let go of it for now. For example:
  • Clean out the garage

  • Start an exercise program

  • Complete an article or proposal you have been working on
Taking one goal at a time, determine:
  • Is this still important to me?

  • Compared to other things I want or need to get done, how important is this goal?

  • Is it okay to put this goal aside for now?
There are no right or wrong answers to these questions. Remember, this process is about priorities, your priorities.

As you work with your goals, notice what happens and what you learn about yourself.
