No matter how you look at it, you can’t get around the fact that there are 24 hours in a day––no more and no less. So to whom must you say “no” to say, “yes” to yourself? Consider:
- People who drain your energy
- People who suck up your time
- Relationships that are not reciprocal
- Relationships that don’t support you
- Relationships that don’t nourish you

Susan,
I just want to say that I enjoy "Fill Your Bucket Well". Your comments are both very helpful and encouraging. The comments today regarding "say No to say yes" makes so much sense. I know there are times when I want to say no but don't want to hurt someone's feelings. There are relationships that are not reciprocal and drain time and energy. Also there are relationships that are not beneficial in any way but we hang on to them. The key is giving myself permission to say no and move on. Thanks Susan!
