Don't Overfill YOUR Daily Bucket

Recently I took a few days off to spend some quiet time alone.  In preparation I like to write down the intentions I have for myself.  Looking back at my list, I realized what I had intended to accomplish would have taken at least a few weeks, not a few days!

Unfortunately, this is a mistake I make all too frequently.  It leads to disappointment with myself and puts me in a grouchy mood.

So I came up with a few ideas to not overfill my daily bucket:
  • For a few days, try timing how long activities actually take you.
  • When you find yourself being unrealistic about what you can get done, be kind to yourself and simply re-adjust your goals.
  • Continue to acknowledge and create healthy rewards for yourself for what you do accomplish!
Share your thoughts or questions with me or discuss your response on our blog, below.

Wishing you a happy and healthy new year!

Hi Susan
Yes we all experience the same. Perhaps we also have to accept that we need to make changes to reach our goals and not compromise on them when the going gets too difficult.

Enjoy and wishing you a happy and prosperous new year.
