Do you ever have days like that? Nothing seems to be getting done, because everything you need to do seems to depend on something else happening first.
Here are some suggestions to fix the “hole in your bucket.”
- Map it out. Create a mind map or flow chart on paper to see what actually needs to get done first.
- Make it visible. Put what you need some place where you can’t miss it! For example I needed to return some shoes and take in some clothes for alteration. I put them in the trunk of my car and every time I opened the trunk I felt mild, but motivating annoyance.
- Reward yourself when you finish. For something that you have been avoiding doing, determine an attractive, appropriate reward for yourself.
Try it and share your thoughts or questions with me or discuss your response here on our blog.
