Continue to Fill Your Bucket

Doing something every day can become so much of a routine you no longer notice it.  How do you continue filling your bucket well and keep the day’s priorities fresh in your mind?  Here are some ideas:
  • Use physical reminders.  I have a tiny yellow toy duck on my desk.  Every time I look at it, I remind myself that I need to get or keep my ducks in a row.
  • Be playful.  I also have a little pink Energizer bunny wind up toy on my desk that came with a package of batteries.  Sometimes I wind it up and watch it careen around my desk.  Eventually it stops.  It reminds me that even the Energizer bunny needs to rest.

  • Use visual reminders.  If you are able, put up a bulletin board in front of your workspace.  You can even use a picture frame if a bulletin board won’t work.  Put a meaningful and motivating picture, quote, or cartoon right where you are most likely to see

Try it and share your thoughts or questions with me or discuss your response on our blog, below.
