- Addictive behavior (“I’ll eat that piece of chocolate cake later, if I still want it.”)
- Angry correspondence (“I’ve drafted this e-mail to my boss, but I’ll wait until morning to decide if I should send it.”)
- Almost saying yes when you really mean no (“I’ll think about it for a day or two before I take on that commitment.”)
- You really do need a break (“I’ll take a quick walk around the block and come back and finalize this article.)
- You are on a roll (“I really have the hang of it, and can’t wait to get back to this tomorrow.”)
