Are you feeling opposite?

The late American singer-songwriter, Phoebe Snow wrote the following lyrics:
“Sometimes these hands get so clumsy,

That I drop things and people laugh.

Sometimes these hands seem so graceful,
I can see them signing autographs.”
Do you ever feel like that? One day you feel clumsy and bumbling and the next day, you’re amazed at your gracefulness? Consider these opposite feelings:
  • Really dumb, then really smart
  • Super clever, then super dull
  • Extremely competent, then extremely incompetent
To some degree this is normal and common. But try this–write a dialogue between these opposites and see what happens. Have one part of you speak and then the other, creating a written conversation.

Give this a try and then let us know what happens or what questions you might by taking just a moment to share your experience below!

Take good care,
