Softening Humor with Grace

We began this month with the notion of including humor to fill your daily bucket well. But while I personally really like my own sense of humor, it’s important to remember that grace is equally important. Here are some thoughts about humor and grace:
  • Enjoy your sense of humor, but not at the expense of hurting someone else.

  • Affectionate teasing is fine, but mean teasing is not.

  • If someone responds to your friendliness or humor in an unfriendly way, consider what else might be going on with him or her.

  • Share your humor with people who do appreciate it.

  • However, remember to laugh at yourself too, with love and grace.
I hope you have enjoyed this month of April foolishness. As you continue to fill your daily bucket well, remember both humor and grace in equal measure.

Share your thoughts on humor and grace below.

Take good care,
