Just One Thing

Last week I re-introduced the short film, “Fill Your Bucket Well.” The bucket metaphor is about focusing on your priorities. If you’ve taken some time to consider your goals for the year ahead, go back and look through the list. Select no more than three goals to start. Now take those goals and break them down into the smallest possible action steps.

Each day do just one task related to each of your selected goals. For example:
  • Instead of cleaning out the whole garage, clear out one half of a small shelf

  • Instead of re-organizing all of your files, just do the files beginning with “A”

  • Instead of reading an entire book, just read one chapter or a partial chapter

  • Instead of writing an entire article, just begin the outline

  •  Instead of worrying about how much weight you need to lose, eat well today
Do just one thing for each of your three selected goals each day and notice how it makes you feel. Make notes and share what you learn below.

Take good care,
