Checking In

Last week I suggested breaking a limited number of goals into the smallest possible action steps. If you had an opportunity to try this approach, how did it work for you? Here is why this tiny step process is likely to work:
  • If you know a task will take only a few minutes, you are more likely to begin it

  • You are likely to have instant success, encouraging you to move on to the next task

  • You are likely to feel better about yourself when you accomplish even something small

  • You are likely to have more energy
Remember to try this: Select three of your goals for the New Year. Break the goals down into the smallest possible action steps. Do just one thing for each of your three selected goals each day and notice how it makes you feel. Make notes and share what you learn below.
