Narrow Your Focus

So far this month, I have suggested beginning with a list of what you want to accomplish this year and then create the “why” for each goal. While your tendency might be to want to do everything on your list, try to resist this and look closely at the reason behind each goal. Select one or two goals and focus your energy there. Consider:
  • Which goal most supports the other goals (i.e. fitness, health)?

  • Which goal will give you the most personal satisfaction (i.e. completing a project)?

  • Which goal will provide the best career opportunity (i.e. greater income or advancement)?
While you will eventually be able to complete all your goals, narrowing your focus to one goal at a time increases the likelihood of success.
