Home Again

Last week I wrote about the expression “When in Rome,” and am now home from my travels. As frantic as I get before traveling, I do try to ease back into things when I’ve been away. While easing back in doesn’t always go smoothly, here are some ideas that may help:
  • Use your return after time away to gain a new perspective.

  • Observe your usual surroundings with new eyes---what do you notice?

  • Based on what you have observed, what changes do you want or need to make in your life?

  • What things can you let go of that have lost urgency for you?

  • Even if just for a weekend away, use your return as a time to re-focus on what’s important to you.
If you have the opportunity to be away, even for a few days, try getting a new perspective on your return. Make notes on what you notice and share your thoughts below.

Take good care!
