Make a Written Plan

This month as we look at solutions for accomplishing goals during particularly busy or distracting times, consider this most basic method – making a written plan. This might sound obvious or even annoying, but here’s how it is likely to work:
  • Some studies suggest a greater possibility of accomplishing something when it is written down instead of it being “in your head.”

  • When something is written down, it tends to stay in your consciousness. (You can test this if you ever go to the grocery store and have forgotten to take your shopping list. While you may not remember everything on the list, you are likely to remember more things if you made a list in the first place).

  • If you panic or become overwhelmed at any point during the day, all you need to do is consult your plan to get back on track quickly.

  • If for some reason you get totally derailed for a day or even several days, a written plan will help bring things back into focus.
Let us know what you learned, by taking just a moment to share your experience below.

Take good care,
