Gratitude Beats Attitude

You’ve probably read or heard something about positive psychology over the last few years. One of the important tenets of this burgeoning field is the power of gratitude.

Gratitude is a small thing to express, but the results can have a very big impact. But don’t just take my word for it––experiment with gratitude for yourself.

Consider these situations:
  • Your postal delivery person knocks on your door and hands you a package that would have fit with some difficulty into your mailbox.

  • Your neighbor has baked cookies and offers to bring a dozen over to you.

  • Your local garage does a 60-thousand mile tune-up on your car and throws in several small services at no extra charge.
This week find three different opportunities to express thanks or gratitude to someone who you wouldn’t ordinarily acknowledge. Notice the response you get.

Notice how you feel.

Share what you observe below.

Take good care,
