Begin with the end in mind

This month we are looking at autumn, the transition season between the light of summer and the dark of winter. Earlier I had suggested a process of self-reflection in which you visualize your life several years from now, writing down what you have imagined. If you have done this, great! If not, please take some time and do it now. 

How can this process be helpful? If you recall Stephen Covey’s second habit, “Begin with the end in mind,” it will make sense. What would it be like to begin each day envisioning the future of your life? Would it help you become more grounded, more focused on your priorities today?

Spend some time this week envisioning your life. Then write down what you saw in your vision.
