Is there something you know you should be doing; yet you are well aware you’re not doing it? This month we will be looking at procrastination, what it means, why we do it, and how not to do it.
First of all, what comes to mind when you hear the word procrastination? Do you:
- Feel uncomfortable?
- Immediately want to do something other than what you are now doing?
- Have the urge to immediately stop reading this article?
- Have a sudden urge to sharpen all your pencils or alphabetize you spice drawer?
This week, begin to notice all the ways in which you procrastinate. Jot down what you observe about yourself. Notice:
- Do you frequently procrastinate about similar types of activities?
- How do you feel when you procrastinate?
- Are there some activities you seldom procrastinate doing?
Share your observations below.
Take good care,
