This month, as we notice less light outdoors, we look at ways to create greater light internally. One way to do that is through savoring. There are of course, many ways to savor—being present in the moment, remembering things from the past, and imagining things that are likely to happen in the future. For now, consider moments that have brought light into your life like:
- The first time you held your child or grandchild
- The moment you found out wonderful news
- The time you did an outstanding job on a project
- The moment when your best vacation began
Start a list of these memories and continue to add new memories. Bring in light through savoring past memories.
