Random Acts of Kindness

You may recall several years ago when the phrase “Random Acts of Kindness” became popular. Last week I shared a personal story about the kindness of strangers. This week I want to focus on acts of kindness that happen spontaneously. Consider:

Random acts of kindness you have done:
  • Holding a door open for someone
  • Helping someone lift heavy luggage
  • Picking up a newspaper left in a driveway and placing it the front door of a house
Random acts of kindness you see others do:
  • Watching someone help a mother with young children
  • Observing someone reaching up for an object on a shelf and handing it to a person who couldn’t reach that high
  • Watching someone prepare food for a friend who is ill

This week I invite you to join me in paying attention to your own random acts of kindness and those of others. Notice how this makes you feel and share your observations below.

Take good care!
