My husband and I just returned from an out-of-town wedding. At some point following the wedding ceremony, he quietly said he needed to go to the hospital. He was on medication for pneumonia but the medication wasn’t working and he was in a fair amount of pain. We asked the wedding planner if she could get us a cab, and she instead insisted her assistant would drive us. Bottom-line, the assistant not only drove us to the hospital, but also then waited and took us back to our hotel. Here was a woman we didn’t even know, extending incredible kindness. We are home now and my husband is doing fine, but I felt deeply moved by this experience.
This week, I invite you to join me in paying attention to such moments of kindness and grace in your own life.
